hi, i'm tess.

I'm a hugger and an oversharer, and I've spent the last 10+ years tagging along with crazy-in-love couples who want to remember all the big and little moments of their wedding day.

I'm not here to stiffly pose you or make you redo your first kiss because the angle was off. I'm more concerned with getting to know you and what's most important to you — so when your wedding day rolls around, you aren't being told what to do by a stranger. You're hanging out with a friend.

We absolutely cannot recommend Tessa enough. Truthfully, we initially dreaded the thought of having our photos taken, but now it's one of our favorite memories. Tessa makes everything feel natural and playful, and the photos turned out to be an absolute dream."

FAQ

Do you travel?

yes!! i'm based in d.c. but i'll show up wherever your love story takes you. travel within the dmv is on me, and all elopement collections include travel anywhere in the continental u.s.

How quickly do you book up?

most of my couples book 9-12 months out, especially for peak season (may-october). if your date is within 6 months, don't wait to reach out — let's chat asap!

What's your turnaround time?

sneak peeks within 48 hours of your wedding (because i know you can't wait), and your full gallery within 8 weeks.

Do you offer payment plans?

yes, always. a retainer holds your date, and then we set up a monthly payment plan that has you paid in full 30 days before your wedding day. no surprises.

What if it rains, or something goes wrong?

in 10+ years of weddings, i've shot through rain, snow, 103° heat, and one truly memorable tornado — we'll be just fine, i promise. i bring backup gear to every wedding and i've got a plan b (and c) for just about anything.

we're really awkward in front of the camera. is that okay?

literally everyone says this and literally everyone ends up loving their photos. i don't do stiff posing or weird hand placements — i just give you something to do, crack some jokes, and let you be you. that's where the magic happens.
